Meet the New Guys

Mike and Ben

Please join the Franklin Team in welcoming our two newest members, Ben Burnett and Michael Woodock. Ben and Michael will be responsible for driving our QA/QC field operations for our Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. The F

ranklin Team intends to leverage the expertise of our new inspectors as we continue to promote best practices and offer customer service and technical support. As you begin interacting with both inspectors, feel free to ask questions and invite them to join you in the field.

Ben is a graduate of the Energy Management Program at Delaware Technical Community College where he studied residential and commercial energy conservation strategies and analysis. Starting in 2013, he served as a participating contractor in Maryland and Delaware HPwES Programs and similar residential utility programs. Shortly after, Ben started working with ICF, the former program implementor for Energize Delaware’s HPwES Program. Before joining Franklin Energy, Ben spent the last 4 years as the primary QA/QC Inspector for the Maryland HPwES and New Construction Programs. He also served as an Energy Auditor within Atlantic City Electric’s Quick Home Energy Checkup Programs. Beyond the world of energy efficiency, Ben is a fan of Philly sports, the beach, concerts, and cooking.

Michael is also a graduate of Delaware Technical Community College’s Energy Management Program. While attending college, Michael was a student researcher for the National Science Foundation's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). He spent time researching topics including photovoltaic cost-effectiveness and weather effects on blower door testing. After graduating, he worked as an Energy Auditor and Quality Control Inspector for Delaware’s Weatherization Assistance Program until recently joining Franklin Energy. Michael is a BPI-certified Building Analyst, Energy Auditor, and Quality Control Inspector. Outside of work, Michael enjoys live music, golfing, camping, and traveling.
