Wow, What a Workshop!

Energize Delaware’s Home Energy Counseling & Check-up Program offers Free Virtual Energy Conservation Workshops via Zoom. This fun and educational workshop is displayed live on a tablet, cellphone or computer device. During the 1 hour workshop, participants learn about DIY (do-it-yourself) energy conservation measures and tips for the household. The workshop also provides information about energy-saving resources/programs and about available rebates for energy efficient home improvements.  Each household in attendance can complete a survey after the workshop to receive one FREE Weatherization Kit ($50 value) mailed to their home. On April 14, 2021, the DHSS Library hosted the largest virtual energy conservation workshop to date. The Delaware Health and Social Services (DHSS) Library strengthens organizations and communities by connecting people with ideas, information, and innovative programming. Over 146 DHSS workers from across the state of Delaware attended the virtual workshop and over 130 attendees were able to receive the free weatherization kit. Thanks to DHSS for helping Energize Delaware to educate Delawareans about energy conservation!
