Delmarva Power has brought an exciting new customer service tool to the market! Delmarva customers are now receiving a personalized home energy report with their monthly bills. Based on real-time electricity usage, Delmarva’s newly released energy reports are providing homeowners with a look at how their usage compares to similar homes in the area. Infographics are used to help customers digest the data and gain a clear understanding of where they fall amongst those around them. This customer service tool is intended to bring transparency to the monthly energy costs of Delmarva customers.  

Delmarva’s new home energy reports empower their customers to take an active role in their electricity consumption. Each report provides the homeowner with personalized solutions to high electricity bills and for those in pursuit of a more energy efficient lifestyle.        

Delmarva Power is collaborating with Energize Delaware to provide their customers with these cost-effective solutions! As an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year since 2018, Energize Delaware has proven to be a valuable resource within the residential energy efficiency space. In October, Delmarva Power incorporated Energize Delaware’s Home Performance with Energy Star and Home Energy Check-up & Counseling Programs into their new home energy reports. Within each report is a link to apply for the Energize Delaware program that best suits the customer’s needs and income level.

Energize Delaware and Franklin Energy have begun welcoming these Delmarva referrals into our programs. Milton, from New Castle, recently discovered our Home Performance with Energy Star Program when he opened his electric bill to find Delmarva’s home energy report. Based on Delmarva’s analysis, Milton was simply trying to understand where his home was underperforming and what he could do about it.

I really appreciated the detailed work that went into my home energy assessment. Brad CaWood did a great job in assessing my home, while providing beneficial suggestions on how to improve my home’s energy efficiency. I appreciated his honest opinion and was glad to have received a monthly energy report that gave me the opportunity to contact Energize Delaware’s Home Performance Program.

Long story short, Energize Delaware is excited to see the impact these new home energy reports have on program participation rates amongst Delmarva customers. We are anticipating this customer service tool will not only drive homeowners to our programs, but also produce the type of customers that tend to get the most out of our programs… ‘home performance-minded’ customers!
