As a friendly reminder, QC Inspections are currently underway. Here are a few things you can expect:

  • The Program will never reveal the results of the inspection to the homeowner*. Any issue(s) that need to be addressed will be sent directly to you, the contractor. It will be up to you to address those issues before a rebate can be paid out. The Program will have more details on that process in the coming weeks.
    • *The only time results will be discussed is if there is a clear health and safety issue present (e.g. a spilling DHW system) or if the customer’s rebate will be directly impacted in not qualifying for a rebate (e.g. non-qualifying equipment was installed).
  • To maintain impartiality, typically the Program will not notify a contractor when a project is selected for inspection. That said, the Program welcomes the opportunity to have contractors meet our QC staff on-site. Please note this coordination is between you and the homeowner.
  • The Program's inspection criteria typically is categorized as follows:
    • QC all incentivized measures that are being submitted through the Program
    • QC the health and safety of the home to BPI protocols
    • QC the results of all diagnostic measurements
    • QA the project to ensure the program is represented properly and professionally
    • QA/QC the project for any missed opportunities

That's a quick rundown of what the Program will be doing on the QC side, but please know that our QC is here as a resource for you as well! Here are some other ways the Team can be of service:

  • If you have new employees that you need trained in the field, our team can meet them at an audit or test out to walk them through what the program expects.
  • If you have a complicated house, invite us out. We're happy to be a resource when conducting an audit or test out.

The goal of our QC team is to work with you to ensure that projects go through the Program seamlessly. With all that out of the way, we encourage you to reach out to our QC team at EnergizeDEInspection@FranklinEnergy.com.
