A Bit of Background on TruTech Tools

TruTech Tools was founded in 2007 as a retirement hobby for the late James C. Bergmann (Jim Sr.) and his son, James L. Bergmann (Jim Jr.). Both father and son have decades of experience in the HVAC industry (as technicians, in distribution and as instructors). TruTech was founded on—and continues to focus on—understanding, pre-selecting and delivering quality measurement tools, plus support for its customers.

In 2008, TruTech began to focus more on products related to the emerging energy-efficiency market. In early 2009, Bill Spohn joined the company as general manager. Spohn (now CEO) and his trusted business partner (and vice president) Eric Preston purchased the company outright from the Bergmanns in 2014. Since this time, TruTech has intensified its quest to be the “go-to” source for advanced tools and test instruments for technicians in the weatherization and HVACR industries.
