The Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (AHPwES) program consists of a comprehensive home energy assessment and offers energy-efficiency upgrades. AHPwES is the same as HPwES but with increased financial incentives to the participant, including a reduced assessment fee of $50. Participants may be eligible for the AHPwES program if their income level is at or below the maximum annual income levels. The 2018 income eligibility requirements are as follows:
If a customer is interested in the program, they should complete an application, which can be downloaded here. The signed application can be emailed to DEGeneral@FranklinEnergy.com or mailed to:
AHP
23 Copper Drive
Suite #3
Newport, DE 19804
The customer will then be notified of their acceptance or denial into the program.
- If a customer is accepted, they will receive an email with information on next steps to select a contractor.
- If a customer is denied, they will receive an email stating the reason for denial and advising them to take part in the Weatherization Assistance Program (a low-income weatherization program) or HPwES.
To take full advantage of this program, customers should be advised to apply BEFORE the assessment occurs. If the customer has a decrease in their household income while in the program, an application can still be submitted, but completed audits will not be subject to the $50 decrease. In this case, the approval would only affect any future rebates. If you would like more information, visit our website or email DEGeneral@FranklinEnergy.com.
